Cumbria Community Foundation
Nuclear Management Partners Ltd and Cumbria Community Foundation have launched a £2.5 million charitable fund to support community groups and individuals in West Cumbria.
NMP are keen to see that it plays a strategic role in the community and the grant-making criteria supports West Cumbria’s Communities that Work strategy.
From the time the NMP Community Fund was launched in April 2009 until December 2009 there have been 149 grants totalling more than one million pounds. The largest grant awarded to a group was £40,000 while the largest grant awarded to individuals is £6,000.
The NMP Community Fund is open to community-based organisations and individuals in Allerdale and Copeland and supports community facilities and projects that help people learn new skillsand increase their personal confidence, gets people involved in their local community and also makes the community a better place in which to live.
